“Homemade Herbamare” Seasoning Salt

Standard

This is a versatile seasoning mix to keep on hand.  I use it on Whole Chicken in the Crockpot,  as well as for Marinated Steak Bites  (recipe coming soon!).

I divide my supply between two jars: a small canning jar and a small recycled spice jar with a shaker top.

Herb Seasoning Salt

Use this MSG-free herb seasoning salt to season salads, salad dressings, soups, sandwiches and more.

  • 1 cup sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon sage

Put all ingredients in blender container and blend to chop up the herbs and incorporate all the ingredients. Store in a glass jar or a salt shaker in a cool, dry place.

  1. Thanks for the recipe! I just made some (need to make a grocery run- didn’t have enough sea salt or parsley). I sprinkled some on our chicken dinner for tonight-we’ll see how it goes. thanks for the recipe!
